VISA

So, Dad and I went to D.C. today to apply for my Visa. (Yes, it's extremely late to be doing that) We drove up early in the afternoon yesterday and stayed at Lily and Tom's. We decided to get up early at 8 to get there early and not have to wait in line and OH MY GOSH, the guy at the door (Dad says he's called Guardia Civil) was very attractive. I think it's a good sign of what is to come at the end of next month when I arrive in Spain. Oh baby. Anyways, hopefully my application will go through in time and be sent back so that I can still catch a flight on the 24th of January. Otherwise, I'm going to be a little late. Yikes.. Orientation is the 27th so we'll see how that goes! Wish me luck!

Predeparture

So I have 29 days until I leave for Spain! VERY EXCITING! I'm not even sure what to pack because I have to fit my whole life in 2 suitcases and if you know me at all, you'd know I'm a pack rat. There's just way too much that is important to me to leave behind!


I'm going to my Aunt Lily and Uncle Tom's house on January 2nd until I go back to Cary the 23rd to say goodbye to the family before I leave. I will depart from the U.S. the 24th but I haven't booked my flight yet. (This should be interesting.) I will update you when I know more!
